How to create a subdomain for use with Blogger

Not all sites are meant solely for blogging. Some websites only include a blog for marketing purposes only. This is because blogs can drive traffic to your site. Each site visitor is a potential customer who can end up buying products or services on the website. Advice to Teachers conducting lessons remotely

A lot of WhatsApp groups for delivering tutorials have surfaced recently in the wake of the corona virus pandemic.  This was necessitated by the need to mitigate the effects of keeping schools closed for an extended period of time. Most students were falling behind on their studies before the mushrooming of such WhatsApp groups.

E-learning is not a new phenomenon to Zimbabwe but measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 ,like lockdown and minimizing of gatherings , have seen an upsurge in the number of tutors embracing the internet as a mode of delivering lessons. This article will look at the best  platforms available which teachers can use in their endeavor to continue educating people in these trying times.

In the Zimbabwean context, WhatsApp is likely the first option which comes to many people's minds when they think of distance learning solutions. This is mainly due to the great number of users on the platform. Many, if not all, smartphone owners have WhatsApp installed and also the availability of social media bundles which are affordable as compared to internet bundles has culminated in a large number of people resorting to the use of social media in conducting business as well as communicating with friends and relatives. As such it seems sensible for teachers in Zimbabwe to adopt the social network platforms especially WhatsApp as a tool for getting educational content to their students. However, is WhatsApp the best option out there? If not then what are the alternatives?

WhatsApp groups seem to be the best way of catching up on school work only if the pupil accesses the group on its inception. If a student joins a group later it means that content posted earlier on will not be readily available unless if reposted. This is were platforms like Google Classroom and Telegram channels, my personal favourite, outshine WhatsApp groups.

Content posted on Google classroom and Telegram channels will be readily available for download regardless of when one joins the class or channel. The only drawback is the unavailability of bundles for such platforms.

As time goes on and the "school calendar" is synchronized among the Zimbabwean populace, WhatsApp will rule the roost but for now the best option  for conducting online lessons is Telegram channels.
